Of all roots reggae trios, The Abyssinians can be credited with shaping the classic reggae vocal group sound we've come to know. Thick with spiritually and gorgeous melodies, the trio quickly captured international acclaim in the mid-70s with their debut album. Arise their follow-up album, finds them delving deeper into a roots vibe and exemplifies what a classic album from reggae's golden era is all about. 2002 reissue of 1978 album. Virgin.
