Braille, Anne Weiss' third release, is her best yet. Drawing from folk, blues, gospel and salsa, this record blends her varied influences to create a unique, lyrically driven, soulful sound. A cross between Bonnie Raitt, Aretha Franklin, Joni Mitchel, her vocal style has been called "stunning". Anne's songwriting effortlessly marries politics and poetry, drawing from the original mission of folk music but giving it a new voice. Special guest appearances: Dar Williams, backing vocals, Phil Wiggins (from Cephas and Wiggins)harmonica.
