Review
More heavy bass and funk zydeco from Louisiana's leading practitioner of the new breed zydeco/funk blend, Andrus Espre better known as Beau Jocque. Like his previous records the thumping bass of Chuck Bush drives most of the tunes here. Clifton Chenier's slow blues, "I'm on the Wonder" is a highlight as is Jocque's cover of the War hit "Cisco Kid." The original "Kinder 2 Step" shows that along with being a young master of the accordion, Jocque has also become a first class writer. --Robert Baird
