Review

Two CD remastered and expanded edition of this cult psychedelic pop album from 1968 featuring two mono single mixes added to Disc One plus a second disc of 22 album outtakes! Originally released on Immediate Records and featuring instrumental backing on most tracks by The Small Faces. Castle. 2006.Billy Nicholls' "Would You Believe" was Hailed by Those who Had Heard it at the Time as One of the True Classic Albums of the Era, with a Sound Highly Reminiscent of What Brian Wilson Achieved with the Beach Boys Circa the "Pet Sounds" and "Smile". While Advance Copies Had Made the Rounds, the Album was Withdrawn Just Before it was About to Be Released in 1968, an Action that Eventually Made it One of the Most Collectable and Legendary Albums of Its Era. It was First Released on the Sequel Label in 2000 and Re-released in Summer 2006. This Magnificent Set Includes the Original Tracks of the Psych-pop Classic an Entire Bonus CD of Rare Outtakes and Demo Recordings. At Last, Nicholls Can Take his Rightful Place as One of Britain's Finest Songwriters and Performers of the 1960's. (In the Ensuing Years, Nicholls Would Be Found as a Co-writing Partner of Pete Townshend and Contributor to Both who and who Member Solo Albums.)
