Review

"Out in Texas" is as acoustic folk-country album of original music. The overall theme is about the state of Texas, but the lyrics are universal in their storytelling and descriptions. Produced with a light hand, these songs were recorded using vintage tube microphones and tube pre-amps and mixed with the vocals up front. My goal was to create an album that faithfully represented my live performances here in Austin, Texas, and reflected my Texas songwriter influences, namely, Guy Clark, Ray Wiley Hubbard, and Townes Van Zandt. For a fresh musical look at the great Lone Star state, "Out In Texas" is the CD to hear.
