FLY ME BACK is the new album from folk-rock-singer-songwriter Brenda Weiler. Musically, FLY ME BACK represents a departure from the mostly stripped-down acoustic ambiance of her previous two CDS, CRAZY HAPPY and TRICKLE DOWN. Songs like "Noella Rae" and "Breathe" feature drum loops, strings, electric piano and electric guitar while still allowing Brenda's intimate and personal vocals and acoustic guitar to shine through. Other songs, like the achingly direct "Better" and the traditional spiritual "Motherless Chile", were recorded live in the studio. Most importantly, FLY ME BACK shows the power of an artist whose autobiographical yet univeral lyrics touch the listener, and whose voice can change in a heartbeat from a powerful alto to a naked whisper.
