Broadway Phil and the Shouters kick their Industrial-Strength R&B machine into overdrive with the release of their second CD, "Rhythm and Dues." The Shouters crafted "Rhythm and Dues" with care over the last several years and the resulting 12 arrangements jump off the tracks and cut a whole new groove: a hard-driving, rock-steady soul-fest designed to blow the dust off your speakers. From the gritty-sweet lament of "Too Early in the Morning for the Blues," the roadhouse good-time chants of "Rock Steady on the Mainline" or the cheerfully menacing braggadocio of "That All You Got?" the Shouters bring it up, down and, finally, right back into the groove where it begins and ends.
