Stepping out on his own after twenty-three years with B.B. King, Calvin Owens releases True Blue, on which he performs some of the finest blues and jazz music you can expect to find today. Features guest appearances by luminaries David `Fathead' Newman, Johnny Copeland, Trudy Lynn, Gloria Edwards, B.J. Scott, and B.B. King. Owens was nominated for Blues Horn Player of the Year at the 2005 W.C. Handy Awards.
