"Sensitive Groove",the latest CD from San Diego singer-songwriter Carlos Olmeda, is a collection of folk-rock tunes full of pretty music with a pungent bite. Olmeda's blend of folk simplicity and pop ambition give his songs both a bright surface and an arresting depth.
His mix of traditional American forms of music with Afro-Latin influences contributes to a style of writing and singing that sets Olmeda apart from his contemporaries.
