Review
Safety in Numbers is the debut offering from Cartel, a band from Washington, DC. The sound ranges from the drumbeat dominated and soaring "Fleets" to the pulsing "Free" and "At Night." Influence from Doves, Elbow, and U2 come through, but Cartel is definitely cultivating their own unique sound: a sound to look out for. The EP was recorded and mixed by Jason Caddell (Dismemberment Plan).
