Review

This is the highly anticipated debut from Seattle's smart and stylish indie-pop band. "Blocked Numbers" recalls 70's power-pop underdogs (The Motors, The Nerves, etc.) and integrates them with past and present heavy hitters such as Spoon, The Smiths, and Steely Dan. Equal parts clever and clear where humor and fun play side by side with sentiment and honesty.
