Review

'Sirocco' is the first recording by Daniel Menche that utilizes sound sources from other artists. Eleven different artists submitted one-minute sections of sound for Menche to work with - to create a long, continuous drone track by completely degrading and melting the source sounds, then massively layering them to form one long, graceful and intense storm. Originally recorded in 2002 using contributed tracks by Andrew Lagowski, Asmus Tietchens, Main, John Duncan, Scanner, Akira Rabelais, Illusion Of Safety, Merzbow, ErikM, B. Labelle and AM, 'Sirocco' has finally emerged into the light.
