Review

Though originally intended for insomniacs, this album has found an audience among a much broader population. The harmonic strains are mostly minimalist in genre so as to relax, rather than distract, the conscious mind. This can occur to the extent that many listeners have reported falling asleep - see reviews below for examples. (Do you know anyone who needs sleep?) The music comes from inspirations in real life as well as literary sources such as CS Lewis's "Narnia" to William Blake's "Tyger."

A suggestion on how to listen to the CD: Let it play in the background of a restful environment a couple times before trying to use it as a relaxation/sleep aid to enhance your ability to entrain. Find a time and place in which you can listen in solitude, start the CD, and let it run all the way through. If you are already totally relaxed, start the CD at track #3, "Solstice." There will be certain sections that you will connect with more than others, as is to be expected with any form of music, but this album has been designed in a certain rhythmic and melodic model that can be experienced only as a whole.
