Review

Dave is one of those rare talents that come along every 10 years. People can easily identify and associate Dave with other well known artists while he still retains his own unique style. To try and describe the sound of the CD leads us to the obvious comparisons. James Taylor, Neil Young, Tom Petty, Peter Gabriel, Sting, they're all in there some where. Dave comes from an Americana/Folk background and Patrick "genius" Bettison is perhaps best known for his work with the English jazz supergroup Acoustic Alchemy. Patrick was the bands bass player in the early 90's. If you combine that with the simple but effective pop/rock drumming of fellow Brit. Gary Ashton then you end up with a blend that is earning a lot of well deserved praise from some of the worlds top professional musicians. Phil Palmer, session guitarist and producer to people such as Eric Clapton, Dire Straits, Tina Turner, Pete Townshend, Robbie Williams etc, heard the CD right from it's inception and loved it. Steve Ferrone, Pino Palladino, Bob Noble some of the best musicians in the world have nothing but good things to say about the CD. This is only the start for Dave Hardin.
