Shortly after selling 3000+ units of their demo EP (after 3 members left CAKE, forming this band) and developing a strong following on the West Coast, the band signed a recording contract with Capricorn Records. They then went on to make this debut album ÓDeathrayÓ with producer Eric Valentine (Third Eye Blind, Smashmouth, Citizen King). This self-titled album was released in the U.S. in May of 2000. The band toured the states extensively in support of the album, which received a great deal of critical acclaim as well as some college and commercial radio play. Due to the collapse of Capricorn records during the release cycle, this album was completely overlooked by the industry for the post-newwave/pop gem that it is. Gary Newman and Rick Ocasek would be proud.2002 re-issue of one of the best pop albums ever! 13 tracks including the radio singles 'Now That I Am Blind' and 'My Lunatic Friends.'
