Dexter Gordan is highly regarded as one of the greatest jazz saxophone players of all time. He has issued many, many albums over many decades. One that has never seen the light of day on CD is "Great Encounters". This live alubum from 1979 features some great guest appearances: Johnny Griffin, Woody Shaw, Eddie Jefferson and Curtis Fuller.
