Review

Containing five exclusive remixes and three brand-new tracks, Ganymede's "Falling E.P." is both the perfect companion to their popular album "Euromantique" and a rewarding listening experience in its own right. The CD starts with two new mixes of "Euromantique" album tracks by Ganymede: a single mix of the electropop gem "Are You Falling In Love Again?" aimed at the radio and a hard-hitting club mix of the ominous "Legacy" aimed at the dance floor. Next up are two original tracks, the epic ballad "Somehow" and the dance anthem "Never Is Forever." Ganymede then pays homage to synthesizer pioneer Vangelis with a cover of "Don't Be Foolish," an obscure yet brilliant single he recorded in 1980 with Peter Marsh. The E.P. ends with remixes of "Euromantique" tracks by three of synthpop's hottest acts: B!Machine lends his trademark hypnotic synthetics to "Kinder Days," Soviet bring a bright and blippy analog touch to "Are You Falling In Love Again?" and "Legacy" gets the club-ready EBM treatment from remix favorite simulator. All in all, Ganymede's "Falling E.P." is sure to have something to please everyone.
