Review

Founded in 2001 by former musicians of the Dutch neo Progressive band MARYSON, ICE present its first opus in the form of an ambitious concept-album. Released in 2005 on the Musea label, "The Saga" relates the story of people facing a new ice-age, remembering that their ancestors already had to go through this and discovering that there is a shelter... These rather short (Only one piece is over eight minutes) ten pieces show the multiple talents of experienced and inspired musicians. Their influences range from CAMEL to post-Peter Gabriel GENESIS, through PINK FLOYD (Especially the keyboards sounds), MARILLION or PALLAS of the "The Sentinel" period. Melodious, powerful and refined, this opus on the rocks includes brilliant guitar and keyboards parts. Don't resist to the call of ices !
