Review

Jean-Claude VINCENT is actually Jean-Claude POGNANT, Crypto's founding member. With the help of some musicians from his own label, he produced an only album under this assumed name, the legendary "Lettre Au Passé" (1977). We could have feared a vulgar exercise aimed at calming down the frustration of a lousy musician, but actually, nothing could be further from the truth ! Behind the mike, the producer could show that he had quite a nice voice. The album includes nine tracks that go from sophisticated songs to theatrical Progressive rock in the style of ANGE. It is then not a coincidence if the lyrics were written by Christian DECAMPS, who also participates through his keyboards. Jean-Pierre GARBIN (ANGE), Valéry BTESH (TANGERINE), Claude-Marius DAVID & Alain BERGÉ (CARPE DIEM) are also included in this adventure. To be rediscovered absolutely !
