Review

"McCain is without a doubt one of the finest amplified harp blowers on the scene, with a big, clear tone throwing down an endless stream of inventive licks. He also happens to be one of the wittiest song writers around, a fact well showcased on a set that features all originals including the shuffling anthem `Boogie Is My Name,' which kicks things off in romping fashion, and the hilarious `My New Next Door Neighbor,' an update of his classic `50s Excello rocker `My Next Door Neighbor.'" - BAD DOG BLUES

Great, inventive harp playing from arguably the greatest harp player alive! Jerry "Boogie" McCain remains at the height of his powers, constantly writing and delivering amazing live performances with the energy of a teenager. He began recording in the early `50s for Trumpet, making records of his unique blend of country swing and down-home blues. In `55 he recorded for the Excello label and has continued making great records up to the present day! This prolific artist proves to be at his creative peak, with very funny songwriting. Jerry "Boogie" McCain just keeps coming out with amazing albums!
