Review

Crossing over into the land of long ago and far away, the listener discovers enchantment-a time peopled with hidden creatures so like ourselves.

These "hulder" trolls look like us, work and live in the same way we do. But they usually have a tail-long, like a cow's tail. Embarrassing. Some hulders can be threatening. Other hulders may be honorable, fair and loving. Just like us. In them we find the best and worst of our own human qualities.

Encountering mythic hulders in stories such as these can bring us to question who is the stranger, the foreigner, the "other" person? Who is inside our circle of friends? Who can be trusted? Who will be loyal? Who is outside, excluded? What are true human qualities?
