Whether or not you describe it as Progressive Electronic or Progressive Electronica, Ambient, or New Age Music, one thing is certain: the musical adventure upon which you are about to embark is rich with the ebb and flow of moods, emotions and attitudes that one expects of a truly satisfying and memorable trip. And trip is exactly what this is. Just Offshore takes your mind on a flight of fancy imbued with ever shifting aural landscapes and auditory scenes. Rarely do artists who dwell solely in the world of sound paint with such clarity the visual images that will confront your mind's eye as vividly as do the vibrant incantations that are the mystical handiwork of Just Offshore. No need to describe in advance here what you'll behold. Your own mind will open that mysterious portal as you release your grip and let the music carry you through its various twists and turns, its plummeting drops, its soaring heights and its giddy whirlpools.

Stylistically original, its various elemental components, conversely, do not escape some comparative reference. In composition and arrangement, one can hear the shadings of Neil Norman or Tangerine Dream. In terms of sheer instrumental virtuosity, thoughts of Rick Wakeman and Carly Munoz might be conjured up. On its own terms, however, the music of Just Offshore is capable of flipping its own coin by juxtaposing the hypnotic patterns and sequenced undertones of restrained tension bubbling kinetically just beneath their foundation with blooms and splashes of wildly soulful keyboard solos and flourishes. Much the way an unexpected latticework of lightning appears against a dark and troubled sky. Then, on another piece, the simplest melody is set against the ornate backdrop of a polymelodic tapestry.

From the enticing opus, "Ocean Storm", to the frenetic bow of "24-7", the kaleidoscopic visions and imaginative scenery of a stimulating and exotic musical excursion are not out of reach on some far away island. They're Just Offshore.
