Review

Le Tigre's 'This Island' album is a deliriously addictive, hybrid sound the band calls "feminist punk electronic music." It's a mix of drum-machine samples, synth hooks, buzzing guitar loops, gang vocals, and foolproof bass-lines. Now we take it one step further with the aid of some of the world's biggest names on remixing duties, resulting in an irresistibly danceable collection of anthemic tracks whilst still retaining the thought-provoking lyrics that fans worldwide have come to expect from the band. Check the grrrrindy-guitar-stomper by PEACHES and play out the NDB Vocal Disco Mix, you will be adored! For the Funk-a-teers, try the JUNIOR SENIOR Remix and MOREL's Pink Noise Dub Mix or maybe ARTHUR BAKER's Smashter Remix or CARL CRAIG's Turn It Up Vocal Remix is more your flavour. Either way this is definite crowd pleaser!Special Compilation of the Best Tracks from the Two Import Remix EPs by the Diy Punk Rockers from their Major Label Debut Album "This Island". Includes Mixes of "Nanny Nanny Boo Boo", "After Dark" and "Tko".
