Review

Welcome to CD number two from Canadian Blues Rocker Lou DeAdder! 10 songs - all original - 8 vocal tunes and 2 instrumentals. The music here comprises a mix of Rockin' Blues, a few Ballads, some Funky R&Bish stuff, Jazz flavours and some Progressive Outside Material also. This is not just a blues album or a rock album but much more than that. Although guitar driven the other players on the disc have an opportunity to open up also. Tunes: 1. Ain't Got Two Nickels (Rockin' Blues thumper) 2. Slow Down (Funky R&B tune - fabulous Trumpet and Sax solos from Steve McDade and Leo Sullivan) 3. Chills (features wah wah Guitar solos) 4. Wobbly Pop (demented instrumental and I mean demented - written in the 70's and originally called Bum Pudding) 5. Searchin' For My Baby (more traditional kind of Blues tune - uptempo with lots of Horns and a Piano solo from Steve O'Connor) 6. Comin' Home (a ballad - Accoustic Guitar solo and fills with Pedal Steel from Doug Johnson - check it out - it's different) 7. Goin' Down To Texas (features some raw Slide Guitar - very solid) 8. Believe (a ballad kind of tune but not real slow - surprise Flute solo from Leo - three guitar solos - the first one uses an octave box - sounds kind of unique) 9. Without You (a Rockin' Blues Thumper - opens with a double Guitar part) 10. The Funky Strudel (the disc ends with an instrumental - great Trumpet and Sax solos from Steve McDade and Leo Sullivan - this tune really crosses that line into jazz/rock fusion type stuff - it really cooks).
