2003 solo album debut for the Canadian singer/songwriter, his first since the dissolution of the Matthew Good Band. 13 tracks. Canada's King of Angst-pop First Post-matthew Good Band Solo Project. Says Matthew,"When I Set Out to Write this Record I Promised Myself that If I was Going to Continue Making Records I Would Do it to Satisfy the Desire Within Myself to Discover Something that I Hadn't Yet. As a Writer, as a Person, etc. So as I Wrote the Record I Confronted a Lot of Aspects of Making Music that I Had Never Allowed Myself to Before. And in the End I Really Found Myself Writing Short Soundtracks to Various Thoughts and Realizations Rather Than Proper Songs.
