Review

Recorded in Nashville and Texas, The State Line is Milton Mapes remarkable debut. The group's brand of dusty and wistful rock grabs one's attention immediately, and becomes more rewarding with each listen.

Songwriter Greg Vanderpool and longtime comrade Roberto Sanchez gathered a host of musicians to record these songs that ride the fine line between tangible places and emotional spaces. Built on an honest combination of rootsy and electric sounds, Vanderpool's charismatic voice provides the ideal, gritty, icing on the cake.
