Modern Giant are an Australian band that mixes classic poetic images alongside music that reminds us of the solo work of The Go Betweens` frontment, Grant McClennan and Robert Forster. The spirit of that band flows on much of the material here, as does other excellent Australian bands like The Triffids and The Verlaines. Okay, The Verlaines are from New Zealand, but you get the idea!
