Review

Spewing forth from the suburban lawns of Seattle comes a new sound in terror, Mon Frere's "Blood, Sweat & Swords".

Driven by brutal guitars, ravishing synths and pounding beats, Mon Frere creates a world of zombies, wolf boys, and throat-slitting romance on a dance punk beat warpath. Frontwoman Nouela Johnston throws down the gauntlet, sassily belting her way through these 11 tracks of murder, romance and murder, leaving a trail of lost causes in her wake.

Blood Sweat & Swords is the debut full length from Mon Frere and makes good on the promises of the critically acclaimed 2005 Real Vampires EP.
