Review
The CD features Bay Area heavyweight musicians Michael Bluestein on piano (Jacqui Naylor, Kitty Margolis), Jon Evans (Jacqui Naylor, Ledisi, Tori Amos) on upright bass, and a host of other fine local musicians. Standards like "Peel Me a Grape", "Good Morning Heartache", and "Fever" are rendered with hip, straight-ahead arrangements providing a tight rhythm track for Natasha to add her dynamic and clear vocals.
Natasha has been performing with her ensemble in the Bay Area for 5 years, recently for the Oakland East Bay Symphony's "Collage de Musica" gala benefit at the Oakland Rotunda Building. She is also an accomplished classical violinist and singer-songwriter.
The album is full of hip jazz standards with a kick!
