Review

Musician and composer Gary Herbert of LA, California takes a fresh vision of sampled music in this new album, 'The Blind Clockmaker'. His musical project Null Objct brings a synthesis of guitar rock and Moog sampling finesse into high relief. The loose structure of the album allows eerie introductions of soothing elemental lines leaving the listener reminiscing of opium-hazed mystery novels and Dirk Gently sipping tea in a London Fog. A hypnotic, mellower sort of techno-sprinkled-jazz-rock suitable for leisure activities of all sorts. Listen to the tapping back rhythms waft past synthetic keys; roll into a sitar riff. Gritty yet subtle as a well-filmed car chase.
