Review

The dubbed out funky sound of Clean Machine creates a whirlpool of sonic flotsam sure to leave you feeling refreshed. The mix is surreal and original leaving formulaic downtempo by the wayside in favor of mind-expanding frontiers. The journey begins with "Beat to Keep", a tripped out funk groove complete with filtered horns and wah guitars. What follows is an expedition into late night headphone listening focused on reggae rhythm and psychadelic soundscapes. Clean Machine is truly clean acid funk for the soul. Numatic Soul's track, "Dry Clean" orginally appeared on Groove Closet: Downtempo Bedroom Beats from Ball of Waxx. Numatic is fronted by Ball of Waxx's most prolific producer Brian Saitzyk (aka Eastern Sun).
