Review

Since releasing his debut album Satellites & Constellations, Only Child has DJ'd all over the world from Scandinavia to Australia and Moscow to L.A with the biggest and the best. His releases for Grand Central are sublimely soulful and encompass his love for DJ-ing. A typical DJ set from Only Child is a journey through futuristic funk - incorporating classic uptempo and electro breaks, deep house and hip hop. All these aspects are visibly evident in the plethora of styles that make up the Only Child sound.

His second album Solitaire features legendary soul diva Kathy Brown, `The Voice' Veba and GC's new signing Niko as well as Detroit's Amp Fiddler (who sound is a cross between Sly Stone and D'Angelo) and one half of DJ Spinna's Hip Hop group The Jigmastas, Kriminul. Like Only Child's DJ sets and GC's unmistakable sound, Solitaire is both Funky and sincere, brash and soulful, underground but accessible!
