Elektro-industrial / EBM music is the sound of a generation in revolution, and draws professionals from all walks of life -- In this case, Philosopher's Point is a power-EBM band with front man Chris, a psychiatrist, and heads up its world invasion from Munich, Germany. "Nachtangst" is a brilliant consideration of the sheer terror and overwhelming anxiety that can settle on a person simply by force of nightfall -- becoming both a mental and physical torment and torture. The self-destruction continues, unrelieved only by the break of day ... Danceable, melodic, and yet thoroughly electrified, "Nachtangst" offers an intelligent and powerful debut from Philosopher's Point, with distinct vox along the lines, at times, of Wolfsheim, though much darker in texture.
