Review
These Days Are Hard To Ignore is the beautiful debut from one-piece Portrait Of David. The album is a journey through pure, honest tristesse, orchestrated by piano, guitar, vocals, synthesizer, cymbal, cello and violin. Recorded between 1999 and 2000, These Days was produced by Helge Sten (a.k.a. Deathprod) from Norwegian bands Motorpsycho and Supersilent. On it, you will discover piano and string arrangements reminiscent of bands such as Labradford and Rachel's. Norwegian reviews compared Portrait Of David to Eric Satie and Nick Drake's Pink Moon. With unique, ambient acoustic atmospheres, Portrait Of David shares with us his very private and personal universe.
