Ray Scott is a different kind of cowboy-with a voice like rolling thunder and songs of plainspoken poetry and emotional directness. The songs on his debut, My Kind of Music, range from odes to the working man and gut-wrenching ballads to morning-after regrets. Mix in an earthy sensuality and personal manifestos such as "Different Kind of Cowboy" and the title track and you have an introduction to a good ole boy who is true to his roots, his heart and his music.
