Review
Connecticut-based jazz guitarist Richie Hart presents 'Blues in the Alley' -- his first new recording in over 13 years following his critically acclaimed 1991 release 'Remembering Wes' -- in a funky, blues-drenched set of three new originals and seven standards.
A protege of George Benson, Hart has performed and/or recorded with Ron Carter, Jimmy Cobb, Dr. Lonnie Smith, Jack McDuff, Don Patterson, Etta Jones and more.
Accompanying Hart are seasoned veterans Rick Petron on bass and Joe Corsello on drums. Petrone's list of credits includes work with Maynard Ferguson, Joe Beck and others, while Corsello has worked with Sam Rivers, Barry Miles and more.
