Review

Acoustic guitarist and singer/songwriter, Rick Duke, evokes a lyrical style reminiscent of fellow Southern artists James Taylor and Mike Cross, with instrumental arrangements born from a synthesis of folk-rock, rhythm and blues, and contemporary jazz influences. Second Son is his debut CD, with forty minutes of music over eleven tracks -- six instrumental and five lyrical -- featuring eight original never-released songs, and three covers of Steve Howe and Greg Lake.
