Review

Tragically, British film composer, Roy Budd died in 1993 at the early age of 46. Roy Budd was a respected Jazz musician before he turned his hand to film music. Excepting only the work of the great Lalo Schifrin, Roy Budd's Get Carter was the best theme in the lucrative world of spy/gangster/heist soundtracks from the late '60s and early '70s. At last, collected together on a 2 CD set are some of the greatest soundtrack works of one of the UK's greatest soundtrack writers, containing selections from Get Carter!, The Wild Geese, Fear Is The Key, The Marseilles Contract, Paper Tiger, Soldier Blue and several others. Includes tracks later sampled by the Doves amongst others. Castle Music. 2005.Britain's Greatest Soundtrack Composer's Film Work Brought Together. Includes all of the Key Works from "Get Carter" Through to "The Wild Geese".
