From Fresno, CA., Speakers for the Dead is a band that combines hard rock, hardcore, metal, and melodic choruses with a skull bashing intensity. Put together with players from high profile bands in the Fresno music scene, SFTD has become one of the biggest draws in that part of California.

With an active MySpace website and a ton of tour dates on the books, SFTD are poised to make an impression on metal heads looking for the next, great new band.

As "Prey For Murder" was being recorded, it appeared as if a sudden, serious illness for guitarist, Jason Garcia, would derail all their plans. Yet, through sheer determination and will power, Garcia still was able to complete his portion of the recording as well as appear with the band at live shows. During that entire time period, Jason continued to receive treatment for his illness. His is a remarkable story that continues to play itself out.
