Originally released in 1982 this is a tremendous tribute to Thelonious Monk remastered and in a digipak with new liner notes by leading jazz writers. 2002.Remastered from original analogue tapes. On the very day that Thelonious Monk died in 1982, Sphere, comprised of Monk's long-time tenor saxophonist Charlie Rouse, pianist Kenny Baron, bassist Buster Williams and Monk's former drummer Ben Riley recorded this title.
