Another little band from Seattle, this one offers proof on its third album that the Pacific Northwest hotbed continues to evolve and mature. Grunge fails to cast even the faintest of shadows on this young quartet's supercharged and ultra-hooky approach to mainstream rock. Flashing a wit, style, and confidence that's comparable in some ways to U.K. kingpins Oasis, guitarist Rich Credo and singer Adam Czeisler mesh thrillingly on muscular tracks like "Feed Yourself," "Slide," "Superstar," and "Cake and Strychnine." --Jeff Bateman
