Review

TOC (formerly Throne Of Chaos) were first formed in Finland in the mid nineties. They began playing their own stylized blend of hard and dark music which is perhaps best described as "keyboard driven, old school Black Metal." Following their debut release, Menace and Prayer, comparisons to bands like Children of Bodom proved to be more of a burden than a blessing and the band sought a new sound. They turned their collective heads towards new visions for their next album, which turned out to be something very different and weird indeed. Loss Angeles now brings the band to a new milestone in their career and one can only wonder what this band has in store next. Psychedelic? Progressive? Melodic? All, and perhaps none, apply. But Loss Angeles is sure to take the listener into new territory. Care to take a ride on the Acid Highway?
