Review

T-Rek is Tarek Smallman, Melbourne based DJ/Producer who was until early 2005 one half of live performance/production duo Bionikworld. After a stint living and working in Barcelona in 2004, T-Rek decided to go it alone focusing on his own material, the result being his forthcoming album 'Into the Desert Blue'. The first single from the album is 'Freakshow Disco No. 2' and the title of the track refers to a concept devised by T-Rek as a sort of 'piss taking' protest to the current trends in dance music. Fed up with the boring and boxed in nature of club music/culture and it's seemingly never-ending stream of genres and sub genres, 'Freakshow Disco No.2' has it's tongue very firmly planted in it's cheek as it musically incorporates all the styles of music it lyrically raises it's middle finger to.T-rek is Tarek Smallman, Melbourne Based DJ/PRODUCER who was Until Early 2005 One Half of Live Performance/Production Duo Bionikworld.
