Review
Formed and led by the ensemble's arrangements and originals, the Dalton Gang is a ten-piece group that has the sound of a big band and the feel of a smaller cooking Afro-Cuban unit. The New York-based band (which is a part-time ensemble with stable personnel) recorded two CDs for the small Second Step label that are full of sprit and strong musicianship.
