Review

Listen up, nostalgia buffs, fans of kitschy 1970s television, and David Cassidy fans everywhere: you can still get A Partridge Family Christmas Card, it's not too late--even though the show debuted decades ago. Shirley Jones and her brood sail through 11 numbers here, marking only one as original. The likeable "My Christmas Card to You" falls amid bubble-gum master Cassidy singing most of the leads and going for dramatic effect on "Blue Christmas." The teen heartthrob is technically not a bad singer, so if you're a fan of the show or its first family, this might be what the Ghost of Christmas Past had in mind for your holiday amusement! --Martin Keller
