An amazing dig from the past to be reissued on a major label (remastered in SBM mastering yet!). This was the second release under Oxley's name, and it features Evan Parker-tenor, Kenny Wheeler-trumpet, Paul Rutherford-trombone, Derek Bailey-guitar, Jeff Clyne-bass and Tony Oxley-drums. Since all but Oxley are early alumni of drummer John Stevens' SME, there are definite parallels and comparisons to make, but Oxley already had his own language that he was employing. Sony. 2004.
