Island Warriors is a collection of today's biggest and brightest talents in the contemporary Hawaiian music scene. Over the past decade or so, the popular music produced in Hawaii had been influenced heavily by other island music styles. Dubbed by many as "Jahwaiian" Music, it was primarily a derivative of Jamaican Reggae with it's roots in Polynesia. But as we have entered into the new millennnium, the music has progressed into a much more sophisticated blend, and for many, the term "Jahwaiian" Music no longer applies. R&B, Hip Hop, Rock and World Music permeate the mix and the result is indefinable. Island Warriors takes it one step further. A relentless succession of unndeniable tracks, ranging from songs with messages of polictical righteousness to party anthem jams, this production is a magical collaboration of artist and the production team of Hobo House on the Hill. Never before have Hawaii's modern music royalty come together to record brand new, or! iginal compositions in a unified effort to propel Hawaiian island music to the international recognition it truly deserves.
