In-depth life story of folk hero Woody Guthrie. Named after a president, Woody had deep-running political beliefs, which he frequently tackled in his music. He enjoyed successful musical collaborations with Pete Seeger and Cisco Houston. Yet his personal life fell into tatters with a failed marriage and a string of broken relationships. Woody was finally hospitalised after it was discovered that he was terminally ill. Over the past couple of years Woody's work has enjoyed a resurgence and finally received the acclaim it deserves. This 4-CD set also features 2 discs of Woody's music.Woody Guthrie is revered as one of the finest exponents of folk music. This 4 CD set features two discs of his music and two with a spoken word biography of his career. Also includes two 8-page booklets.
