Admitting so may be dating yourself, but didn't you think this record (yes it was an record back then) was the jam back in high school? What do you get? You get a fierce Chaka Khan at the apex of her earth/sex/ghetto goddess powers, you get grooves so deep you could plant crops in 'em, and you get songs like "Once You Get Started," "I'm A Woman (I'm a Backbone)," and "Somebody's Watching You." To sum up, a righteous package of funk, rock, jazz, R&B, and chops. --Amy Linden
