2006 album from this Norwegian Electronic/Technopop outfit. Sonic Diary is a collection of cover versions of some of the songs that influenced the band including 'Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses' (U2), 'The Damned Don't Cry' (Visage), 'Electricity' (OMD), 'Bizarre Love Triangle' (New Order) and more. Gun.Cover Versions have Always Played a Special Role in Apoptygma Berzerk's Repertoire. Tthis Album's Predecessor, "you and Me Against the World", Featured a Cult Classic: "shine On", Originally by the House of Love, Stayed in Heavy Rotation for Ages. The First Single from this Album is a Cover of Kim Wilde's "cambodia", the First from this Album of all the Cover Versions the Band have Recorded Over the Course of their Long Career - Often Simply as Single B-sides Or Eps: From Metallica's "nothing Else Matters" to the Cure's "a Strange Day" and Omd's "electricity", from Kraftwerk's "ohm Sweet Ohm" to "coma White" from Shock-rocker Marilyn Manson. The Album also features Three Previously Unreleased Covers of Keane's "bend and Break", Visage's "the Damned Don't Cry" and New Order's "bizarre Love Triangle".
